Rejoice · Renew · Relate

February 4, 1962 about 75 people gathered at the Western Electric Building for the very first worship service of King of Kings Lutheran Church. February 5, 2012 King of Kings kicked off Our Year of Jubilee Celebration at all worship services. It was a time to remember and celebrate our past, to recognize and thank those charter members that were obedient to God and His mission for them to plant a church on the outskirts of Omaha, at the end of dirt road at 124th & West Center Road, in 1962.

Now, 50 years later King of Kings has grown to an average weekend attendance of 2,500. After many renovations to that first church building, King of Kings moved to it's current location and is only a short distance from the original Western Electric meeting site. Over those years the building has changed, the staff has changed, membership has changed but one thing remains - King of Kings exists to bring people to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ. As we celebrate throughout this year the blessings of the past 50 years we also look to the future to inspire the most imaginative, innovative, and involved followers of Jesus Christ, who will stop at nothing to bring the world to expereince His saving love.
