We Christians get ready for Christmas, however our preparation hopefully, looks a lot different. Sure, we’ll be out there trying to find the right gift for our loved ones, but our preparation for Christmas is a lot more than that. We want to prepare our hearts for the celebration of the one who makes Christmas Christmas…the Christ himself, the promised Messiah, our Savior Jesus. We call this season of preparation Advent, which comes from a couple of Latin words that in essence mean, “to come,” or “the coming.” And this year’s Advent series is fittingly entitled, “And Baby Makes Three.” The story that we will celebrate this Advent Season is the truth of how God broke into our world through the lives of two ordinary, yet amazing parents who were told by the angel, that the baby God would bless them with would make them three. And, as long as we are doing some basic math here—how God through this baby would make us ONE WITH HIM. It is the epic love story of God for mankind.
