Small Group Wednesday
Small Group Wednesdays are back, this time with two options for our small groups. Pastor Roger Theimer is offering a small group course called Heart to Heart Parenting. This course will help small groups explore heart to heart parenting, where hearts are shaped as children are raised. Throughout this course, you’ll learn to better understand, encourage, and discipline your child, while also discovering how to handle your emotional responses as parents.
For groups wishing to explore other topics, the worship center will continue to be available for groups to meet. Nursery, Kids Kamp, and Confirmation will also be available. Dinner begins at 5:30, small group time begins at 6:30 in the Worship Center. Learn more at www.kingofkingsomaha.org/wednesday
Kids Kamp: Slimed
Small Group Wednesdays are back, which means Kids Kamp is too! At Kids Kamp: Slimed, kids will learn that when we stick to God, He can make something beautiful out of any slimy situation. Kids Kamp is available for kids 3 years – grade 6 on Wednesday nights January 9 – February 27.
Register online today for $10/child or $30/max family. Visit www.kingofkingsomaha.org/wednesday to get started.
Night to Shine
Mark your calendar for February 8, when our church family will come together for Night to Shine — an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. With your help, we can make this a truly special night for everyone who comes through our doors.
One way you can help is by donating gently used prom or bridesmaid dresses. Any color or size will do – just bring them by the church office and we’ll get them to our guests.

NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 12-session educational program for family, significant others, and friends of people living with mental illness. Research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to an individual living with a mental health condition.
We will host a Family-to-Family class on Monday evenings, 6PM – 8:30PM, from January 14 through April 1. This class is open to the public, so please invite anyone you know who might be interested. For more information and to register, visit www.thecoreomaha.com

Hand of Hope
With all the Natural Disasters that have hit the U.S. in recent months, there is an unbelievable number of people displaced. Hurricane Florence in the Carolinas, Hurricane Michael through the Florida panhandle, and the fires in California. With all this happening, it’s easy to forget storms that happened even six months ago. The reality is that many are still in great need as they recover from Hurricane Harvey. That’s why Hand of Hope Omaha is gearing up for a trip to Houston on March 2. If you’re interested, save the date and come to the informational meeting on January 15 or January 22 at 7PM in the Alpha Room.
Snow Blast is back on January 27 from 6:30-8:30PM. Come join us for some family fun at the Mahoney State Park Activity Center. Play in the multi-level indoor play area or show off your ice skating skills on the outdoor ice rink. The cost is $2 per person if you register before January 27, or $3 at the door (no more than $10/family). Guests are free! A single day Mahoney State Park pass is required for parking. Register online at www.kingofkingsomaha.org/kids
