We are thrilled to announce that Pastor Greg Griffith has accepted the Call to be our Lead Pastor Elect. Pastor Greg will wrap up his duties at Immanuel in Macomb, MI in the next month. His start date at King of Kings will be August 1. We are so excited to welcome Greg and Laurie, and their two daughters Macey and Tessa. Anxiety Seminar

Join us August 8 from 6-8PM as Nathan Seadore and Brenda Neyens, experts in the area of anxiety, host a seminar designed to help you reduce your level of anxiety. Together we’ll learn how to identify habits that produce anxiety, along with techniques to reduce it. You will not be expected to share personal experiences during this seminar; we want you to be as comfortable as possible.

Burgers, Brats, and Baseball

Kids Kount Publishing Brainstorm Team

Do you have creative teaching ideas? Offer them to Kids Kount Asia by serving on a Skype brainstorm team with children’s ministry writers from India. They need help designing experiential learning lessons. You can select times convenient for your schedule and invest an hour weekly or every other week. Passion Conference 2020

King of Kings Student Ministry is embarking on an adventure at the end of this year as we head to Passion Conference — and you’re invited! Passion Conference is a gathering of 18–25 year old’s in Atlanta, Georgia from December 30 through January 3. The cost is $300, which includes transportation, conference, and dinners.

Conquering Codependency

Join us for a new session of Journey to Wholeness: Conquering Codependency. Our current 13 week class meets from 9 – 10:30AM in the Alpha Room at King of Kings, continuing weekly through August 25. Join anytime!

This ongoing support group helps you break unhealthy patterns, provides tools for healing and growth, and opens honest communication about our deepest struggles and victories in Christ. Exploring The Bible

Exploring The Bible is a Sunday morning bible study that offers an interactive experience centered around selected passages from the Old and New Testaments. Participants are free to examine the Scriptures and discuss with others the implications of God’s truth for their lives. This study meets weekly on Sundays from 9:15-10:30AM in the Courtyard room.

LWML • Lutheran World Relief

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) will be packing personal care kits and school kits for Lutheran World Relief this fall. With a goal to assemble 150 care kits of each type this year, they need your help. Visit www. for a list of items needed and instructions for how to drop them off.

King of Kings Mission Room

Consider supporting the King of Kings Mission Room where items are gathered, sorted, and shipped to the Orphan Grain Train (OGT). OGT gathers funds and items for flood victims in our region, other disasters in the US, and relief in 68 countries. If you would like to donate items, please consider bringing: 

  • clothes/shoes (all sizes and all seasons—includes coats, boots, gloves, etc.)
  • bedding/quilts/blankets
  • towels/linens (all sizes)
  • medical supplies (crutches, splints, bandages, etc.—no medications)
  • stuffed toys
  • adult sized bicycles (in good condition)

This four-week course will be led most weeks by Pastor Roger and will cover the basics of Christian faith and Lutheran doctrine.
